  1. Whats the most insane day of bass fishing you've ever had? Ill start, was fishing the merrimack river, hooked into something giant on my UL, thought it was a pike but turned out to be my pb smallie... next cast i caught a striper, then a pike, then another giant river smallie, then like 4 more solidriver smallies, started fishing a brook and caught a slob of a pickerel, coming in at 26 inches. all on 6 lb fluoro leader... ill prob never have a day like that ever again.
  2. fish slow, sure its boring, but those slow lures tend to catch the biggest fish. the bass jig and ned rig are my favorite lures ever.
  3. im from massachusetts, i get my first bass of the year in february-early march, though i have gotten them in january. That is... if there's open water.
  4. got into ice fishing over the winter, its pretty neat.
  5. Are you a year-round fisher like me with no end or start? or do you take the winter off and suffer the cabin fever, and when do you finally get out there?
  6. Big fan of ned rigs, caught my pb of 6.5 LBS on one up here in massachusetts. plenty of other solid bass. great for both smallies and largies.
  7. Thanks, first forum ive joined for fishing, pretty neat that you got a smallie, ive only caught smallies in like early december and late february. i have fished in the winter before but usually for pickerel, pike, and perch. i slow it down as much as i can but havent had much success recently other than a dink trout.
  8. Anyone from the northeast, hows the fishing been for yall? cuz i cant catch a fish for the life of me haha, ive only caught a 4 lb bass and a rainbow trout this winter.
