Anyone from the northeast, hows the fishing been for yall? cuz i cant catch a fish for the life of me haha, ive only caught a 4 lb bass and a rainbow trout this winter.

I caught one smallmouth bass from shore on New Years day in Plymouth.  The cold snap we're in locked up all the water around me.

 

If you've not fished in winter much, S L O W and    S   L   O   W   E    R   are the key.  That and blade baits.

Thanks, first forum ive joined for fishing, pretty neat that you got a smallie, ive only caught smallies in like early december and late february. i have fished in the winter before but usually for pickerel, pike, and perch. i slow it down as much as i can but havent had much success recently other than a dink trout.
