  1. So basically, the +2 can be an effective tool under certain conditions but the +1 is a more versatile bait. Do you feel the +2 has caught you fish that the +1 wouldn’t have?
  2. That is some serious jerk bait eye candy 🤤 If you had only one to fish I assume it’d be a perch pattern?
  3. Awesome, thanks!
  4. I have one in my arsenal but it always gets pushed aside for other options. I might have to give it some more reps this year Have you found them to work at times when a 110 or +1 isn’t doing the trick? Or do you think the fish that you’re catching would come the extra few feet for a shallower running bait?
  5. Thanks for this …..and down the rabbit hole I go
  6. Makes sense. Thank you for the replies. Do you have any experience with how much suspendots and lead wire affect the action of the bait? I’ve always just run them as is out of the box. 😆
  7. To my understanding those are all 8-10 ft runners? I’m thinking more 12–16 range.
  8. Wondering what yours thoughts and recommendations are for deep diving jerkbaits (12ft+) like the Vision 110 +2. The lakes I fish for smallies have lots of transition zones and flats in the 15-20ft range. I feel that a jerk bait that can get down deeper and suspend closer to the bottom will produce more bites in these areas than 8-10 ft divers. I’m just not sure I can justify spending $35cdn for a 110+2. Has anyone had more success with one vs a +1 depth bait? Are there cheaper alternatives? Is this the bait monkey talking?
  9. The back rack idea might be a great easy solution. I think I can build something similar at a fairly low cost. Thanks guys!
  10. We do! And there are some big ones out here too! The big girls are mostly on the island and lower mainland but the southern interior has some great largie fishing too.
  11. No worries about sounding like lecturing, water safety is very important. As far as I know, there’s nothing against bow riders here. The boat is rated for 4 people or 650lbs, 800lbs inc. gear. Me, the wife and 3 kids easily fit under the weight rating, but yes we’re over the people limit. We’ve only had 3 kids out once and now that they’ll all be bigger this year we won’t be doing it again. This is one of the things that I do now but they don’t flat and can only be secured at the back so I really have to watch/hold them when moving
  12. For our family needs the dual console setup up has to stay. We also use the boat for pleasure use so there can be up to 3 kids in the boat if we’re just cruising around and swimming. The red cushions provide seating for the kids when we’re just cruising around. The wife also likes to lay out on them when she needs a little break from fishing. I’ve considered building a locker tin between the cushioned storage spaces and cutting a hole under the middle seat or at the front to get the extra length needed but then there will be a step up/down in the middle First world problems…
  13. I have a 1989 Cajun 162ZD Adventure. As the name suggests, it’s not a true bass boat and only about 16’ long. it has quite a bit of storage for tackle and bags such things but it doesn’t have rod lockers nor is there enough room to build one in. I’ve been just kind of laying my rod on the side and bungee strapping them down and laying the ones I’m using down in the middle. It works but it can get a little cluttered and makes for transporting the rods securely a little bit sketchy.
  14. Welcome my fellow Canadian
  15. Ned rig Drop shot Walking topwater can you tell I mostly target smallies?
