Since you said the Potomac, i assume your somewhere in the Penn, WV, ML, VG area. I fish sleepy creek lake which has some pretty dense topwater pondweed and duckweed mix. I had 40lb power pro with a 1oz weight and it would only penetrate it half the time. Considering i am fishing from the bank and my angle to flip and punch is worse than me, should i up my pound test? Im asking because i have #30 buddha braid on rn and its pretty expensive stuff that i really dont want to throw away.
