This weekend, I lost a $70 handmade glide. It was the most expensive lure I ever bought and I only fished with it once...made me sick to my stomach.

Many of the basspro hooks are made by VMC...says it right on the pack. So, if you have a basspro/cabelas nearby, it might be worth a look.

If there is a dicks sportingoods nearby, check out the Dobyns Frenzy 705CB. It's around $70 and an good lipless/crankbait rod in my opinion.

I have several Dobyns rods. If you are on a budget, check out the Maverick 734 or the Fury 734. They may weigh a tiny bit more than other brands, but when they have a reel on them, they are perfectly balanced and feel so light when fishing.
