Which Ceramic bearing for saltwate. Orange sealed Boca or Hedgehog Air HD which are unsealed?
I recently killed a set of spool bearings using my Tatula 100 saltwater and want to make it so I can use it in salt in the future. I’ve narrowed down my choice to 2 ceramic bearings the Boca orange seals or the hedgehog air hd. The Bocas have a rubber seal and the hedgehogs don’t. I’ve seen the hedgehogs have a bit better quality but is the rubber seal with boca worth the slightly less quality level?

Bearings noises after cleaning for 1st time
Update: the bearings are toast. I must’ve washed them in too high pressure after using in the sky and the salt got driven in there and then they sat for 3 weeks. I removed them cleaned them and relived and they still sound raspy and rough. I’m gonna have to get new ones. Looking at either boca orange sealed ceramic or hedgehog air HD. Which would you recommend, the hedgehogs are unsealed but slower fly a bit high quality l, or should I go with the rubber sealed ones?

Tatula MQ LT vs Stradic FM 2500 Spinning Reel
Does the bg MQ use the same gear or level wind. I’m going to get rid of the tatula MQ for something for salt resistant. Deciding between the BG MQ or a stradic. The BG is seal with 9 rubber gaskets and the stradic isn’t idk which one to get

Wrong bearings. The main one under the pinion head. You have to take the whole side plate off. Those are just the brake and spool tension ones.

Bearings noises after cleaning for 1st time
I put 3 drops of Abu Garcia precision reel oil after soaking in isopropyl 91% and letting completely dry for 8 hours.

Bearings noises after cleaning for 1st time
If I continue to use the same bearings with the lighter oil will it damage them or is it just gonna be louder? I was looking at boca ceramic bearings since I want to use the Tatula in saltwater. I’m guessing they would also be lighter and they’re ceramic sealed for salt.

Thing is I’ve only fished these reels for a year. Can they wear that quickly. I’ve been pretty meticulous in their maintenance.

Bearings noises after cleaning for 1st time
I just took my baitcaster apart and cleaned my bearings for the fire time. 23 Daiwa Tatula 100 and Daiwa 23 saltist (JDM)150 pe special Cleaning in isopropyl 91%. Soaked in alcohol for 3 hours and spun a a few dozen times while submerged and let dry for 8 hours. After oiling properly (2-3 drop reel oil per bearing) I noticed the bearing is louder when casting than before. Is this normal? I dont notice any sticking or grinding when spinning in my hand and casting performance doesn’t seem to be affected but they are considerably louder then before.
