that's a great first bass! beats the hell out of mine

went out to my home lake with my buddy Will yesterday afternoon. i knew where they'd be the whole time, up in a back creek where its about 3 feet deep the whole way across. my dad and i have caught spawners here for 2 years. we fished a few spots on the way to the back creek and didn't get anything. shortly after we got to the creek Will gets this nice 4lb 1oz bass right after that he gets this this nice 4lb 5oz pickerel, his PB: it was slow for me for a while then another boat came into the creek and decided they wanted to get into the boat with us... they were literally within a hundred feet of us. they were catching a bunch of nice bass then i finally hooked up with this 5lb 5oz bass: many 2lbers later and Will hooked up with this 5lb 8oz bass: Will ended up with 9 bass and 3 pickerel, i ended up with 3 bass and 1 pickerel. we're going back tomorrow ;D

i've been grinding up flake food into a fine powder and putting it in the box. they're still alive in the box.

that pipe dream was a pretty cool video. don't really like the music a whole lot but the video was cool.

caught this one out in the middle of a shallow flat on a lucky craft crankbait with two dudes in another boat right on our tail. 5.3125 lbs / 11.125lbs x 100 = 47.75 points

i netted as many as i could and put them in this fry hatching box thing that hangs on the inside of the aquarium. those ones are still alive but all the ones that were in the tank died. i don't know how i'm going to keep these ones in the box alive.

its been in the 70's lately and the bass have turned on. hit a big sized farm pond with my buddy Chris this evening. the wind was atrocious at first but then we got in a back corner of the pond and the wind died down and the fishing turned on! we didn't move the boat but 50 feet all evening and Chris ended up with 15 bass and i ended up with 13. all but a handful were at least over a pound and a half. Chris got all his fish on a tennessee shad Bandit 100 crank, i got all mine on a hot mustard DT04 and a 1oz bluegill rat l trap i painted. here are some of the better fish:
