The Sox fans were booing the struggling offense and lack of timely hitting. Look at the situation when they were booing. Runners left on in scoring position. Nobody in the heart of our order is doing squat(except Pedroia)Papi looks mortal and is missing pitches he normally hammers. Doesn't make Sox fans bad, they are just frustrated with the performance of our team right now. And I clearly remember in game 1 the announcers talking about all the Rays fans filing out early in the 7th during a 2 run game. This is also the team that led the A.L. East basically wire to wire and ONLY SOLD OUT 8 REGULAR SEASON GAMES. Careful throwing rocks in that glass house boys. 8 sellouts you don't even deserve a team in Tampa!!!!

Connecticut has been in total denial also. There have been town meetings at the Pomfret audubon society because of the states denial. people have brought photographs of the animal, pictures of footprints.What I have heard through society members is the state didn't want to start any hysteria with a large predator roaming the woods.

Beautiful animals they are. We have just recently been experiencing documented sightings up here in the northeast section of connecticut along with some decent video of a black bear in my parents yard. With habitat disapearing at an alarming rate I think these sightings are going to become routine.

i was curious about the minnows. How are they for durability? I thought the leeches lacked durability but definately caught fish.

Does anyone use the 5" leeches for dropshotting? Just picked up a bucket, and used them a little so far with decent results. Wacked 12-15 bass(nothing huge) on a historically tough lake. Just looking for anyone elses input.

just reread. I was mistaken to a degree. I got confused with the trout. But the bass were a southern species originally, later introduced to northern climates(massachusetts).Let me rephrase..... bass were nonnative to connecticut originally.

my lakes and ponds book put out by Ct. Dep says they were brought over to the americas from europe. Brookies, sunfish, pickeral,bullhead are the only "true"native species. Book says the pickeral was the apex predator till bass were introduced. not trying to start a flame war, just throwing out some reliable info i read.

I have over the past ten years plus kept just about every freshwater fish that can be purchased. You do learn alot by trial and error. I don't think anybody that has kept fish in an aquarium can honestly say they haven't accidentally killed a fish. It is definately a learning experience. I thought originally i knew enough through what i thought was enough research, only to realize i didn't know half of what i thought i did. So you learn. While i agree it would be better to start off small and work your way up to bigger fish it sounds like you are trying to become well educated on the subject to enter in a little higher on the scale of things. I too have noticed the Youtube videos of pet bass and fully agree they are "personable" and very entertaining, but i would offer this up . I am by no means an expert or claim to be, I have noticed some good information on the videos, but don't follow them to the letter of the law or assume because you see the fish swimming around in a tank they are doing it correctly. I could point out something they are doing wrong in just about all the videos.Some basic pointer i could give would be: Get the absolute largest tank you can possibly get. If "I" were keeping a very small(under 6 inches) bass I would go NO SMALLER than a 55 gallon tank for one fish. The more water you have the better the water conditions and ability to keep them in the required parameters. Think about if you HAD to swim around in your own poop and pee(I know there are filters but stay with me) would you rather be in a five gallon bucket or a pool? I choose pool.Also educate yourself on the ammonia cycle, this info alone will get you well on your way. Also buy some Cycle at any aquarium store. This is a benefically bacteria which consumes ammonia and will start to colonize your filter and any other pourus surface in your tank. This stuff IS MAGIC.(not really magic but it works d**n good).If you need any assistance or answers to questions without raising a ruckus p.m. me and i will be glad to help. other than that read, read, read, and you'll do fine. In the main lake does one side drop off quicker than the other, or is it pretty uniform? I wonder if flippin the pads on the other side of the culvert would be a good idea. sounds like a decent place. I was looking at the tunnel/culvert wondering if it would be worth going under,guess i will. I was planning on finding some points/transition areas to start. then maybe the obvious laydowns/pads whatnot. Well thanks for the input. A chance at some fatties would be nice. Has anyone here fished this body of water? I'm going to fish it saturday witha few friends and wanted to know if it was worth the 45 minute drive from northeast connecticut.Seems like a good pond according to the lakes and ponds book put out by the d.e.p. But then again some of that information is old and out of date. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I throw lots of jigs and carolina rigs.
