Already got building stuff, did that at Mudhole, all I need is a rod blank, seat with cork handles and guides w/top, I've been doing my homework, I'm missing a few buck items but I hand picked everything so far. Yea double checked the price-I'm on. Oh, the other thing is I'm not building a glamor rod either, its all low profile that fishes. I'll hand turn cork down the road.

Looking for another supplier on RainShadow rod blanks I came across these guys close to me, http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/ they were a buck or so cheaper on the blanks compared to Swampland but a buck higher or so on Guides compared to Mudhole

Just the gloomis, there's a dealer about 6 or so miles away. will let ya know on the rod I pick, plan on taking pics thru my first build But I'm still unsure on which one just yet

OK, I have put together my first rod wish list, I went with all Fuji, I'm going with Al. Oxide guides, but I'm stuck on a rod blank. There it is 8-) Killer job I make vinyl windows for a living, so we use heat guns alot, hopefully my talent will follow on to the rod side with it ;D

I knew my best friends sister for two years as a good friend, she would cheer me up when I was bummen about things it seemed she knew how to read me. one day I went to pick up my buddy and he wasn't there, so his sister sat with me on the hood of my car and waited with me, after that day I knew I wanted to ask her out-we got along great, so I told him a week later that I would like to take her out, he didn't care much about it, kinda knew how I was, not that I slept and left but I wouldn't put up with head games so I was known to drop out of site easy. I think he was more worried if I'd get hurt ;D well that was in 1986(she was 16 and me 17 I think)and I'm proud to say were still married and have two wonderful kids together, and my freind and his lady was just over last night haven early XMAS

what kind are some of you guys using, particularly split handles?

Thanks, you guys gave me some good stuff. I put together my last order so now I believe I have everything I need to start building my first rod Oh, I ended up going with MudHole.

Looks good, how long or should I say how many hours ya got into it?

This has been me for the most part but in the last year I have caught more and bigger on Spinning than my BC's, I might have to play with my line more on the BC, but it just seems I can feel more with the spinning's. I can't crank lure very good still, so I may try it with spinning next year.

I got a specific question here, is there anyone that uses spinning rod & reels for everything? I mean all of it from crankin to worms? I think Russ said sometime back on another thread he mostly use's them. but after this year I have evaluated that me and spinning work great together, I guess its having my hand on the rod constantly or what ever but it works very well with me, I can feel things alot more, do alot better over all. I'm not comparing whats best, Just the straight question

Thought about going in the police force when I was 22, Was intrested in K-9 units, The only problem that I had to be honest about was the fighting situations, I believe I would eventually got burned out on this no matter how much they trained me for it in the head, to go to a job that you physically have to fight most of the time with someone would've got to me. I wouldn't have been fair to the dog, Let the dog get'em first ;D

Do any of you guys buy alot thru Ebay? any rod build stuff, from epoxy, tools, thread to rod blanks, all of it really. Or do you deal with rod store's or split it up between the two. I will have to order 75% of my stuff it looks like, only a few things locally.

Wow I wasn't even close. thanks, don't want to over buy a certain color I've seen some of those lot buys on ebay but was wondering if it would be over kill, I got my answere ;D

Let me keep it simple for me, What can I expect to get out of a 100yd spool of thread size A same color on a spinning rod with 8 guides?

Got another question, Mandrel wax, is there a substatute? That stuff is 10 bucks!

Well thats the question? ;D I do have several old rods that I could make reamers out of, it is much cheaper I see doing it this way. The kit one is like $45 bucks at mudhole If you recommend making them, give me an idea of sizes? And where do you start at the blank to cut off, do you start at the butt end or above it some what? I won't say much more cause I know its a bit opened for what ever maybe :-? Yes I'm still working on my tool list :

They are victims themselves, I cannot forget that, but I will not call a pot head harmless, ever see a pothead jonesen?? They'll do what it takes to get high. I know from experiance.

Yea thats exactly what I meant, The so called " NOT SO BAD DRUG " is the one that introduces you to the high experiance, sooner or later you need to get higher, so stronger is higher. As for the myth of "Drugs are yucky and you won't like them" teaching this to kids doesn't work and is miss leading in MY OPPINNION. exspecially when kids love to prove they know more than a grown up. I remember my first few times of doing drugs, heck I fealt great, it reinforced my thought that my family didn't know what the heck they was talking about, this drug thing was great, and I liked it. sadly it took time to see the truth about it, but as a parent myself I won't ignore the truth. to my kids, The battle will be YOU WILL LIKE IT, its teaching them the stand point of what they will do to you and your loved ones, it turns your world and thiers up side down. This drug thing sucks > its a huge battle that seems we are slowly losing :'(

Bravo, well said ArcticCat500 I'm prejudice when it comes to all forms of drugs, I have not seen anything good come from it. A surrvivor or wanna be surrvivor(someone that wants to quit and knows it but is in to far deep and needs help) knows the dangers of all drugs regardless if they are considered innocent ones. The innocent ones are just as or more dangerous than the big ones, cause the little ones get you started. For those that have chosen and have common sense to not try them, cudos to you, but I will say from experiance all form of drugs are a bad. Believeing Pot is ok is immature thinking.
