Good 1/2 Day, Frog Bite

Featured Replies

I got into some good topwater frog action at the lake today, it would have been better, but the weather turned and I had to leave. I will fish in rain and wind, but draw the line at hail and vertical lightning.

Is there a better way to start a day?

Today the ratio was about 10 to 1, maybe even higher. They were in the weeds and would take multiple swings. If they didn't get hooked, I just wait a couple of minutes and toss it right back to them. Sooner or later, they eat it. For me, a frog bite is just about as good as it gets. It is frustrating and exhilarating all at once.

WTG, A frog bite is the most exciting thing in fishing in my book!

I've been devoting at least 30 minutes or so every trip and have not got on a top water bite yet. Very surprised too with the way they were biting last week.
