i am going to buy a Dobyns champion 705 cb glass rod for my cranbaits and i cant decide on the moderate action and the fast......i know the fast will be a little stiffer....it is hard to decide without actually casting the 2.....i will be throwing anything from 100 bandits to spro little john deep divers.....any advice appreciated....thanx

For the treble hook baits I would go with the mod action.

A faster action is not necessarily stiffer, power would have more afffect on that. I prefer a little faster action for ripping traps through the weeds, but for straight crankin' Mod is the way to go.

get the 705cb glass... this is my go to rod for throwing little john cranks weather it be the little john,fat john, or little john md, as for the DD's try and get a 765cb if you can as you need to really launch them out there to get to depth
