t-rig tube hooks

Featured Replies

what are some good tube hooks for texas rigging, beside regular EWG worm hooks?

Is there a reason you're looking for a different hook? The other question would be, what kind of tubes are you using?

I love using tubes. The best way to improve hookups is to use a tube jig with an exposed hook.

I like the Gamakatsu skip gap hooks, seem to hold the tubes on better.

Owner wide gap plus. These hooks have a wider gap which will accompany a thick bodied tube or other similar bait and of course since they are owners they will flat out stick the fish. This is also the hook I use for a Fat Ika Only downfall is that if you don't like a heavy wire gauge hook.

Owner Rig'n hooks.

Shorter than normal EWG's of the same size, but still have the wide gap. I like these for tubes.

I like the skip gaps,Owners long neck & wide gap in a size 4/0.

I don't skimp on hooks.

I been using the Mustad Big Mouth Tube Hook in the 3/0 and 4/0 sizes for t-rigging a tube. Give 'em a try -- you won't be disappointed.

I've been using a jig made by Fin-tech called a Title-Shot for tubes and other soft plastics as well. The hook up ratio is excellent, it's pretty darn snag resistant and you get a lot of fish per tube.
