Help!!! Structurescan Issues

Featured Replies

Just got structurescan, been out twice. We are experiencing an intermittent issue where it will be fine, then it reads 2.5 ft, and screen starts scrolling at a high speed on the display with what just appears to be clutter. A restore defaults fixed it the first cpl times it happened, but the last time today it didn't. We shut it down for about a half hr, then it worked again when we tried it. Thought it might be an overheat problem, but the lss felt ok when I put my hand on it. Anyone experience this???

did you update the version? ive had issues that were resolved once updating, if not call up lowrance tech support

Jig... Was your problem with sonar or structurescan?

Sounds like the LSS is losing bottom. Like Jig said, running in Manual depth range may correct it. Loss of bottom could be a result of beam kickback related to your ducer mount. Could also be a faulty LSS module or ducer. Can you post a pic of your ducer mount and LSS screenshots, both when it's working and not working?

Will do Todd. Plan on taking it out again tomorrow, starting in Auto, and will capture some screenshots if it happens. Thanks for helping out.
