I use a few wraps of electrical tape on all my rods to keep the reel tight.

    I had the 7 FT MH spinning rod and didn't care for it that much. It was way to stiff for my liking. That's what happens when you buy something without getting your hands on it first though. Other than that it seemed like a good stick overall.
