We have several dams due to the rich canal history here, along with the railroad relics that destroyed the canal industry The house in the background is a lock tenders house which is haunted and still in use, but just as a house.

This is by the end of the canal, with an old RR bridge that was decommissioned back in the 70's:

Whenever there isn't bites, there's always the scenery of time gone by here.
