i fish lime rock pitts with no structure super clear.and has alot of moss like grass in the water thats not real deepthe bass here seem to be really shy and smart.in the past i could fish with a live bream and catch a bass 8 or 9 lbs.but now that dont work does anyone have some advise

With that much info I would say to go with finesse presentations. Look into drop shotting and shakey heads, jigs... etc.

Also might want to look into copolymer or florocarbon line

Drop shot, swimbait, fluke, senko, shakey head, finesse jig, and jerkbaits should work well.

i ve tried finesse worms natural colors most big bass get real close to my bait and stare at it then leave or leave as soon as they see my lure

i've never known live bream to stop working permanently. like any other technique, sometimes it will work, sometimes not. but if it's no longer working, try hooking them differently so they swim differently. for example, if you used to hook 'em in the lips, hook 'em in the tail. also, try fishing at night if possible.

It's been 40 years since I've soaked a shiner (or gill) to catch a bass. Not necessary, in my opinion. Too many quality lures and techniques you can adapt to make you much more efficient in your search. Wacky rig a Senko. Drop shot a Roboworm. Try some soft jerk baits. Try fishing at night. Use a 12" worm on a shakey head. It's all good. I've never seen a time or place where live bait has been the most effective option.

Try Zoom Lizards, I find even if I fish my canal everyday, they cant resist them.

I fish a strip pit pretty regular, and the water can sometimes be gin clear. When there's little wind and few clouds the fish get more skittish and it's usually the boat that spooks them before the line or lure. If I'm quiet and make long casts, I have my best luck.

If you're close enough to see them refuse your bait, they're close enough to see you offer.

Just chiming in my 2 cents, but I'll sound like a broken record. Drop shot a Roboworm or hand-poured finesse worm, 3/16oz weight.

Also, give an F-7 or F-11 Black/Silver old-school floating Rapala a shot. Mix up soft and hard twitches. You might be surprised with its effectiveness in super clear water.

I ran into a similar situation moving to my current location. This place was loaded with spooky monsters. Those techniques have produced for me.

yea ive tried rapalas no luck they just look good in my tackle box i went fishing yesterday caught a bunch of denks nothing big but saw some huge female roaming around but one stay in one area all day she was about 7 to 8 lbs stayed in a 10 foot area about 15 foot deep i threw everything i had but no bite even a live bream what do you guys think she was doing
