Anyway, again, he was not fired for shagging her. He was canned for LYING to the university and for his conduct in influencing the hiring/promoting of her to her new position at the U of A.

Peterson has already turned down bigger money from bigger programs. If memory serves, I think he has a child with a medical condition, and they're pleased with the care they get in Boise. It's not a money thing for him.

Leach probably would have been a good fit just from the offense he runs. Then again, replacing one scumbag coach with another "questionable" one is likely not the right way to go. I can't think of any other real big names who are on the market, or in a smaller job waiting for an upgrade.

Given the situation of Petrino's exit, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Hogs hire a mid-major coach.

I think if that is the case, an interim coach(Taver Johnson) will run the program this year, and at the end of season during the coaching carousel, a home run will be hired. At least this is my hope!

I'd love to see them hire Malzahn, it would give the folks at AR State a conniption fit. But seriously, I don't see Malzahn or McGree leaving without ever having coached a game with the schools they just signed with. It also would look very "Petrino" to leave their teams now after just signing new contracts. I really don't like the interim coach thing either, but if that will give them plenty of time to select a worthy coach (hopefully).
