Looking for the best hook(s) for wacky rigging.

Tried small, 3/4 of a circle "finesse" hooks (with small wire weed guard) more than any thing else, with ok results. I also tried the Falcon hooks that have a small lead weight attached to the shank. I tend to prefer weightless though. Wondering what else is being used with success.

Circle hooks don't usually mix well with me, I enjoy setting the hook a little too much.

While we are at it, what are everyone's favorite baits for wacky style?

I use 1/0 Owner mosquito hooks with very good results.  I also use the o rings on my Senkos for wacky rigging them you get a lot more use out of the worm this way.

4/0 gammie offset EWG's for me. i don't see why people insist on using tiny *** circle hooks for wacky rigging.

I like 'em circle hooks with them 'ere weed gaurds on 'em cause they don't git hung up so much mmmmhmmmm.   I like the way you talk. 

With some other weedless wacky hooks I was missing a lot of fish because the wire guard would hang up on the bait.  So I stick with the Gammy's for now.

I use a 2/0 Gamakatsu Octopus hook #02412 for finesse worms and a 3/0 Gamakatsu Octopus hook #02413 for Trick worms and rig two ways depending on the amout of cover present.

Not what you're looking for, but my fav is a 4.8 Flick Shake worm with a corresponding Jackall weedless wacky jig.

Fave hook is the Gamakatsu weedless wide gap... Great hook...  For lure, Mr. Twister Comida.

If i'm not in real heavy cover, i like to use a 3/0 gammie ewg.  If i'm in heavier cover, or weedy areas, I like to use an 1/8 oz keel weighted hook.  The light weight is not enough to sink the bait too fast, it adds distance, and it falls/lands much like a football jig with the hook always facing up, which really helps to minimize your snags.

I've used wacky-rigged plastics for a long time. When the Senko came out it took a while before I started wacky-rigng this type of bait, but I'm sure glad I did.

I use a couple of different hooks for wacky-rigging, one is a Matzuo baitholder sickle, with a wire weedguard, another is actually a Bass Bug hook from Tiemco that I add a wire weedguard to. I've been messing with the Gamakatsu B10S, another Bass Bug hook, and adding a wire weedguard to it has been working out pretty well.

I'm using Dingers, Tiki-Stiks, and Stick O's mostly.

Thanks for all of the great answers. I like the Flick Shake, but I throw it weightless.

I throw stick baits all the time, and I know people wacky rig them a lot, but I haven't really gotten into that for some reason.

I agree with the gammie octopus hook.  On any good bite, to where the fish just doesn't grab onto the senko, I've had good hook sets.  All basically in the corner of the mouth, or the roof of the mouth.  With these  hooks, I've yet to really get a deep down the throat hook set which allows me to get the hook out quickly and return the fish to his buddies so others can catch them.

Mustad weedless wacky hooks 1/0.  Cabelas.  5 for $2.89.  they hold up well.

i also use an o-ring and can get 8-10 fish on one worm..

i initially was worried about the hook-up due to the hook sitting parrallel to the worm with the o-ring but that has been a non-issue.  just watch your line.  they hook themselves.... no real hook-set.  usually hooked in the corner of mouth.

Another vote here for the Gamakatsu Octopus hooks.  I've had very good success with them when wacky-rigging.
