Worth it for $3.88 a 125 yd spool?

I'd give it a shot for that price. Heck, I still have several spools of Ugly Braid (yes, Ugly Stick braid) that I picked up for about that same price. It fades kinda quick, but other than that I've seen no difference between it and my usual Power Pro.

Try it, you might like it. Worst case scenario, you hate it and use the remainder of the spool to tie up tomato plants, or just throw it in the trash. We've all wasted more than that on bags of soft plastics that we'll never use.

It's good line, better than Stren Braid. Heck I have Zebco Braid on my old Blackmax, I still to this day can't find that combo, it must be in my closet somewhere.

Works good for catfishing I know that, should do fine for bass too.
