I've read that there are issues with the reel seat on the NRX casting rods. Is there the same issue with the spinning rods?

    The real seat issue was supposedly fixed over a year ago.

    Just be careful not to OVERcrank your reel down tight.

    They are still popping up on a regular basis with the reel seat problem. And lots of other issues, too.

    But the reel seat issue was never a problem on the spinning rods.
