Getting Ready... First Tourney Of The Year On Saturday

Featured Replies

So after a very frustrating start to the season heading out on Saturday for the first tournament of the year. Little nervous as I haven't been able to catch more than one bass each time I've gone out. The weather has really messed up the fish I think. Last year did team format with my husband, worked well. If he had a bad day I had a good one and vice versa. This year we are fishing draw... I sure hope that I can show that I can catch more than one fish... Fishing a much smaller lake than what I'm use to, which I hope will turn out to be a good thing. Smaller lakes warm up faster... right? Warmer water hopefully mean they aren't so deep and hopefully are a little hungry... Nervous and psyched at the same time!

Good luck and hope u do wel and yes the smaller lakes should normally heat up faster and hope you can get a limit.

Well there is only a 2 fish limit... so hopefully I will catch that. The lake I hv fished the most is 72 sq miles and on Monday the temp was still only 50deg. The lake we r fishing on Saturday is 18sq miles.... BIG difference there!

stay confident and good luck out there, get your limit and start and start hunting for the big girls..

Just finished out tourney... Hubby caught limit in the first cpl of hrs. Took me a bit longer. Lost the first one right next to the boat. Hooked another one next cast and caught my second shortly after :-) Hubby came in 3rd and I got first loser! I will take that any day!!! Only female to place in the money. We were the only boat where we both caught limit! Now time to prep for the next! So psyched and hopefully got all the nerves out

:-)

Congrats
