Anyone ever throw the Tiny Koppers frog on spinning gear? How do you set the hook? I was using a 7" Medium rod

You need a heavier action rod. I know plenty of people that use heavy power inshore rods, a 4000 series reel, and 30 to 50# braid with great success.

I have one I use some times that's even smaller then that and doesn't walk all that great but gets tons of strikes. I thought it was Koppers but I think it might be River2Sea now. It is really little but when they get it they have no problem getting it deep cause its so small.

use 2500 size or 3000 size with 20 lbs braid, and mh spinning rod and you are good to go
