this is a 3/0 weighted screw-lock, this seems to big for this baby fluke but when i rig it to my grass hogs, normal flukes and houdin shad, it looks very small. looks like bass will hit and miss the hook by a mile. So my quesstion is, is the above pic rigged right and what size hook would you use for a normal size fluke and brush hog.

I SAY GO BUY BIGGER FLUKES AT LOCAL WALMART... cause it looks like a tight rig on the fluke an doesnt look like it will swim right.

thanks monte

I am assuming that you didn't twist the bait all the way in because of the size of the hook, but the fluke is not going to stay on there very long and might rip more easily. I would buy 2/0 hooks for the baby flukes and purchase fluke jrs. for the 3/0 hooks.

2/0 without a doubt. I would also go with very little weight on those as the more weight the less action it has.

Weightless most of the time. Otherwise, split shot rig. I never fish

a fluke with a weighted hook. The presentation is "dart & float".
