C-Rig A Rage Craw?

Featured Replies

I was just wondering if anyone is using a rage craw for c-rigging? If so how did it work and did you see any difference using those instead of a worm or lizard?

I am planning on doing this exact thing for smallmouth in a couple of weeks. I was wondering the same thing.

I tried fishing the baby craw c-rigged in about 10 ft of water for smallmouth and did not get anything. Although I threw one on my dad's line and he caught a small 12" fish. However, I caught some nice fish on a zoom lizard. My best being a 4.5 lb smallie. Which was the biggest of the trip. I can't say that the craw isn't as effective since my confidence bait on a c-rig is a lizard and so it spent more time in the water. Last time I used the craw I did not get anything so I switched to a lizard and first cast, bam, 3lb smallie. The lizard flat out catches fish for me.

I use a lot of Lizards and Eels, too, but yeah, I've caught plenty on a c-rigged Craw and Lobster. I drop shot a Baby Craw all the time, and slay em with it, especially smallies.

Every rigging is successful, but my favorite right now is the Stick'r Rig (Moaner Hooks version of the Jig Rig)

#2 would be the Rage Rig: http://www.moanerhooks.com/news/the-rage-rig/
