So i just went to academy and i got some shadilicious swim baits in sexy shad and since i might not get to throw them in a while i wanted to see how they perfrom and how i should rig them like what hooks to use and what sizes and if a worm hook might work oj and there in the 4.5" size

As for your question, the shadalicious work ok.  There are better options out there.  Randall mentioned some tail modifications he did to make them more effective (I believe he cut the tail's length down).

Basstrix and the Berkley Hollow bellies have been more productive for me.

Use one of the Owner beast swimbait hooks and you will be good.  You could use a worm hook, but there are hooks specifically designed for the paddletails.

I had very good success with the Shadilicious, and Luck "E" Strike Bass Magic swimbaits. I also used the 4 1/2" size. The hook I used last year was a Stanley Swimbait/Frog hook. It has the weight at the nose of the bait. This year I'm going to use the Gamakatsu Swimbait Hook, because I want to try the weight in the belly area.

By the way, I used a 7/0 hook with 3/8 oz weight.

To get a tighter kick and take out some of the rolling action you can cut the lowest portion of the tail off where it it rounded on the bottom. Just cut staight across. It works more like the original bastrix that way. Or you can just buy the basstrix and be done with it.
