I have a Berkley cherrywood, and for a very low end rod i am very happy with it. Has anyone used one of these? Maybe even just picked one up and looked at it in the store? Any feedback would be great, i dont have a Cabelas near by and BPS does not sell them.

When i was looking for an ultra light a while ago i picked one up in the store a put it back down in 10 seconds of handling it. Rod was too heavy and felt like a thick wet noodle with no backbone. It may be OKAY for very small trout/panfish but didnt feel like it could do anything great. I picked up the 6'6 ultra lite in these. Love this rod to death. Super sensitive and has handled a few 4lb browns so far.

I have used the cherrywood rods before, bought it for panfish. It was ok. I actually preferred the Tactix over the cherrywood, but Berkley no longer makes them. Lately for panfishing I have been using a Daiwa Spinmatic. Its been a great rod so far. I got a 7'6 ultra light, I think mine was $30. I picked it up brand new on ebay with free shipping.
