Pitchen Non Creature/jigs

Featured Replies

do people do it, all i hear is creature/beaver for plastics, what about lizardss and normal ribbon tail, will it be sucessful, also if pitching a 6' lizard, would you still use the flippin/ewg hook or could you use a regualr offset hook, sorry to ask duh questions, but i fish ponds on the weekends and pack light, so i wanna make sure i do it right ;)

When I pitch into weeds I try not to use EWG's. For me they seem to catch more weeds. I pitch just about all style of baits at times. A lizard works pretty well for me.

Flipping big 7" ribbon tail worms is something I do a lot of and so do a lot more anglers, the reason you don't see it is pitching is usually around heavy cover so you want a bulky bait, the action is secondary but when pitching to sparse weeds or laydowns a worm or lizard is great. My favorite bait to pitch besides a jig is a Trigger X Big Moe, that tail moves a lot of water on the fall and it doesn't take but a slight movement to get the tail moving.
