Was supposed to fish in a charity tourney this weekend, but some things didn't work out, so we decided to go catfishing. First time I had been dedicated catfishing in over 15 years but we had a blast. Method was verticle fishing in 20-35 fow with chicken livers and 2 oz weights. Bouncing it on the bottom while floating down the river. We caught 26 in all, but brought home 24. ONe was to big and one was too small. Almost exact mix of blue cats and channel cats. Here are a couple pics....

Very nice. I've been catching some on chicken liver, but not quite as successful as you. I'll keep trying.

Very nice hoping I can go catfishing soon, that pic makes me itchy for it.

I have fished with several other members on this board, including some from out of state! I am always willing to meet up and fish with others! To date, I can think of probably 15+ other members on here I have fished with(maybe more including road trip)

Those big blues (at least where I catch them) are just as good to eat as the smaller ones. You just have to cut a thinner filet. Keep all of the red meat near the skin out of your filet and you won't be able to taste the difference.
