I've got light jigs and dropshots rigged up for my clients. It's gonna be a hot one.

Drop shot with finesse worms!

Going to get in a couple hours before the heat sets in.

I'm off the water this morning due to thunderstorms rolling through the area. The last few times out though have been pretty similar.

Hit the lake by 5:30am and stay until around Noon. I've been starting the day with my Pop-R (baby bass) and a 3/8oz tandem spinnerbait (bleeding shiner) over the tops of milfoil beds. Once the active bite dies off, I switch to a T-Rigged Space Monkey (junebug) or Power Worm (green pumpkin) which I pitch into holes in the weeds or along the deep weedline.

this morning was awsome!!I just got back i was running a buzz bait up and down the shores i caught a 9 nice bass a few 3 and 4s. then i went into this cove that i new held a big bass, i get there the first cast at 505 she smashed it 5.7 lbs.. after that i worked back down with a jitter bug i was gettig nice 1,2,3s. once the active bite stopped on banks i threw a x-rap rapala out in the middle walking the dog with the lure and i got the biggest hit of my life he spit it out before the tension on my line could pop the hook through. Im going to keep going in the early moring seemed like the best time to go for this 2 acrea pond

I went out this morning and used a 3/4 ounce black and blue jig. I was out for about 45 mins before I had a job interview. I caught a 2.1#. Other than that I didn't get a bite when my pond is usually always active. It has slowed down a lot the past 2 weeks.

We are having scorching weather here in NC but early morning, the buzzbait is firing the local pond bass up. And if their aim is bad or my patience causes me to swing early, a Fat Ika on a cast back is getting the job done about half the time.

I didn't have the same luck as you unfortunately. Just 1 good bite =/

break out that old topwater tackle when mr sun rises

Hooked on the Wave Lizard on a Carolina Rig as of late. Might swap it for the Rage Eliminator early tomorrow.

ive tried drop shoting a lizard but ive had no luck for some reason. im taking abreak today i dont think im going to hit the water unless the sun stays behind the clouds.

Tossed in a frog this morning and hooked a monster blue gill. Later in the morning I was fishing t-rigged trick worms and caught a decent bass. That was it for this morning.....the bass are lazy here in NC.

I'm just getting home from work at 4am a lot here lately. It's hard to ignore the rods in the passenger seat telling me to stop by a pond on the way home but after working 12 hour days for weeks on end I know I have to go home and sleep to be ready for the next day :Idontknow: I'll be out there real early on my day off this week though since tomorrow is supposed to be the first day the high isn't in the triple digits in about 2 weeks. Then my day off (Monday) supposed to be the first rain in who knows how long. I don't even know if I'll wear my rain gear, just stand out in it and enjoy the cooler weather :respect-059: hopefully catch some fish too
