Lily Pads At Lake Braddock

Featured Replies

The lily pads at LB are getting pretty thick, am I the only one that's thought of putting a jig or creature bait through the canopy? Unless i'm the only one that's doing that...

Went out today from 12:45-4:30, caught 8.

The biggest was a 3-07, the rest went from 1 to 2 pounds.

Sshhhhhhh............ Are you crazy!! You can't catch fish at LB doing that. You must have fallen down and bumped your head!!!

Maybe in your mind you are the only one doing it! Been fishing LB for 15+ years and ever since the pads started to pop up lots of people do it! That lake used to have nice grass in it before they dropped all the carp in there.

what you were catching were bullhead. So, change your technique.

This is a bass caught in 2009 by our (at the time) 6 y.o. son using a GY kreature at one of the lilly pads spots @ LB. So no, it's nothing new.

Heck yea! Try a beaver style bait on 20lb floro, peg a 1/2oz weight and punch away!

Thanks, i'll remember that on my next online ordering spree!

Since we seem to be exchanging techniques, try a small jig like a Bitsy flip or a Baby Boo and throw on a Chigger Craw trailer. Light, but deadly. Although the 65lb braid does seem a little much.
