New Guy From So Cal...

Featured Replies

Well, my friends call me Juice, i am new to this forum, not new to forums in general.

Not new to fishing but it has been about 10 years since ive done any fishing.

I grew up doing the occassional twighligth boat out of the LA harbor catching sandies and calicos,

a little bit of trout fishing with summer camps, and a little bit of trolling for kokanee up in northern cali.

Coming up next week i will be heading up to norcal on an annual camping trip thats been going on for the last 15 years.

this year we decided to try and get a bit more fishing in so i decided to go buy a new rod and reel.

Having only ever used spinning gear, and not having enything of descent quality i decided to go baitcasting with

an Abu Garcia Black Max on a Daiwa Aird 7' ml/xf.

We'll see how this goes fishing for smallies in norcal for a week!

Welcome to BR and good luck on those brown fish.
