Hooks For 7" Senco ?

Featured Replies

I know some of you guys must use them. So for those of you who hunt the big dogs, what size and brand hook do you like to use for the 7" sencos? I use 5/0 for both 5" and 6" but the 7" is a pretty big bait. I'll be fishing them in and around some very thick timber so I'll be Texas riggin' um weightless.

Thanks for all your help

Lots of gus think big hog hook for big fish. I use a small offset hook like a 2 or 3. It keeps the profile of the hooh down and makes the work/senko slide through the slop eaiser. Any good offset hook will do ....

If you are punching you would want a bigger hook, but worming not so much.

Line depends on what type of water and or cover you a looking to fish....

i started using the 7" senkos about 2 weeks ago. i use a 6/0 twistlock hook. i will tell ya this. i have caught fish that weighted less than a pound of those 7" senkos. i will also add that since ive used a bigger senko the last 2 weeks, the avg size has gone up more than 1 1/2 pounds. all the fish ive caught also has been in a pond. havent tried a 7" senko in the lake yet. going to next time i go. since the worm is so big, when using the twistlock hook your plastics last a little longer. if the twist messes your senko up after catching a fish, all you gotta do is bite off the damage part of the worm and reuse. pretty good hook imo. ill quit rambling on. here is the link and hope this helps.

i dont buy from this website. i ussally get my hooks from sportsman warehouse.

You can try Owner over size worm hook 7/0 or Mustad Ultra Point Big Mouth 6/0.

Good luck
