Spinner baits, rattle traps, blue gill swim baits, frogs, jigs.

I'd use a live creek chub- sunfishes are just too cute to be used as bait.

Or maybe, just maybe, an 8" ROF5 huddleston deluxe,

Jigs, soft plastics (can never go wrong with a senko), shallow cranks, and spinners. As always, your best bet is to find the nearest bait shop to the lake and ask around. It's their business to know.

A jig can be used on every spot in the description, in murky water i leave the skirt full and add a big trailer like a pitboss. dark colors like junebug/black&blue work for me in murky water. A senko would also be a good choice I'd stick with dark colors here too.

!!!! I will be fishing this tourney too!!!! So I obviously can't help you XD.... jk, if your gonna be at the docks go to the far right and throw a frog in the thick grass I have caught several 4+ # lmb on our way to the lily pads around the corner and after that go all the way out and throw out to about 20 ft of water straight off the end of the dock, slow roll a spinner, swim jig, or swimbait.

Good luck to you man maybe I'll see you there!

If you are fishing from shore you'll need to cover water so unless you throw a swim jig you can pretty much count those out. For big fish inm that kind of area you may want to try a 4.5" hollow belly swimbait like a Hollow belly or shadalicious or a Basstrix, use that on a swimbait hook fished slowly and the hook weight should be about 1/8oz but no more than 1/4oz. A 1/2oz spinnerbait is a good option, for dirty water look to have colorado blades or indianas and finally if you find fish be having one follow your baits or one blows up on the surface, the senko is a bait you have to have for that situation.

Id throw in some sort of walk the dog lure, skimming over the top of some submerged greens. Lets you cover water quick, and can draw some big girls

I would have a Rage toad tied on for those pads. A jig for down deep.
