Gambler Swimming Jig

Featured Replies

has anyone had any problems w/ these? i dont like that there is a split ring between the blade and the head and that the trailer is very gummy

I never tried them. My fishing buddie just gave me two dozen jigs that he ties for swimming. He has a small blade on them just like the one that is on the Chatterbait type bait. Pretty nice of him, I must say. I am looking forward to using them. :)

Funny that you mention Gambler. I found out the other day that there is a guy here in my apartment complex that makes lures for them! At least I think it was Gambler [heard from another fisherman here] If I ever meet him I'll file a complaint for you LOL.

i think all the chatterbait type jigs have a split ring...i have a couple gamblers & their good ,but i think most brands are comparable

I like the Gambler Swimblades better than the original Rad Lures Chatterbait.  Never had a problems.  Better hook and less lost fish than the Rad Lures stuff.

the original chatter bait is the only one that does not have a split ring. i use both the original chatter and the swim blade. i like them both. you are right about the gambler trailer being gummy. i always put a different trailer on when i fish the swim blade---i like the small ugly otter as a trailer.

I use the Gambler Swim Blade quite a lot and do not have problems with it.

I have not noticed a trailer problem though.  Maybe a bad batch of trailers?

Brad

I like the split ring, Not sure but I have heard that the Rads are not harden hooks and so they can pull off there. The split ring seems to help the fish hang on.
