Cumara Vs Cumara Reaction

Featured Replies

what is the differance? beside the price, was looking at a 7'4 H for a possible T and C rigging rod. i dont see this version in the nomral cheaper cumaras that are like 130 now.

The reaction series is based on a slower blank, made for reaction style baits(ie: cranks)

would they have the same models in each class. was looking for the 7'4 H, but for some reason can only find it in reaction. was looking for on ebay or a deal.

I don't think they would have the same model in each class. Sample is the rod length of 6'3" is in the reaction series but not in standard cumara.

Another difference is the hook keeper placement, the reaction is in the blank like other standard wire hook keeper while the plain cumara has a hole in the bottom of the rear grip.

TW has the 7'4" H F for $149.99. That is a great price for the rod.

Tried to post a link but it wasn't having it.

For t/c-rigs, you want the "vanilla" Cumera. The Reaction series have a parabolic taper, as opposed to the fast taper you want for t/c-rigs.

Pretty much every rod in either series has a somewhat specific application in mind.

The cumara line is discontinued.

Shimano is replacing the current cumara with a new version so it's a good time to jump on the deal. Just like what they did with clarus line and crucial they would still honor the warranty on the old clarus and replace them with the new version.
