Pinnacle Deadbolt Baitcasters $17.48 Each At Dick's

Featured Replies

5 bearing casting reels for less than 18 bucks? a lot of baits cost more than that. if you are a beginner wanting to start baitcasting reels or you just fun fish like i do, this deal borders on miraculous. not sure if it was just the jackson, tn store or this is company wide, but i thought i'd pass it on. good reels at the regular price, but this? wow!!! too good to pass up.

i checked online and they are advertised at a reduced price, $34.97 i believe, but nowhere near as low as i paid. they had plenty of 'em at the store where i shop.

wel if your store is running a 50% off clearance items (which end in .97, .47 and .x3 i believe) then the reel you got was 34.97 but rang up as 50% off.

My local Walmart seemed to have some Pinnacles on clearance last week. I forget what model they were..

I was thinking about picking one of these up strictly due to price. Are they ok reels?

yes. don't expect a revo or a curado, but they get the job done and do it well.

awesome. The dicks I go to has a lefty and I was going to buy it to see if I like lefty any better.

I picked one up a couple days ago and got it out yesterday.....not too happy.

Sure, it makes good length casts, but it in doing so, it sounds like a dying giraffe. I don't know if this is what I get for going from 2 high quality reels to a cheap one or what, but it sounds like it's "spinning out"? when casting, if you can imagine that sound. Like maybe the bearings are loose or something. I will have to take it apart and see what the spool looks like inside, but doing so may spell the end of the reel lol because I have never taken one apart before and I can't afford to have it done professionally.

Return it and get your money back...

HAHA. Unfortunately, I am a moron and threw away everything that came with it except for the paperwork because something told me I may have to take it apart..... Do you suppose they would take it back without the packaging?

:edit:

I called and they said as long as I am exchanging, they will accept the return.
