are these basically the same?

i know it's not "aaron martens" scrounger any more.  it is LuckE strike. and i can't get through tackle warehouse.  i know i can through Bass Pro.  BUT Bass Pro doesn't carry Fat Ika's.

i was getting ready to order through TW to get Fat Ika's and was going to pick up a couple scroungers (one stop shopping).  now that they don't carry them i saw the sworming hornet fish head shaker.

just wondering if they are the same??   :-/

I fish the scroungers quite a bit and they don't look to be the same thing to me. The scroungers have a plastic thingy on the front.  They come in a few different sizes and add  action to any soft plastic.

I think they are similar, the sworming hornet head just has a small spin blade on it, but both have the lip that gives it the wobble.

Gamie makes scroungers too..still, not quite as good as the orignals..

I've used the sworming hornet "shaker" in 1/4 oz and I didn't like it.  The blade limited the baits ability to "shake".  Never caught anything on it so I took a pair of dikes the blade arm and then it worked better.  I still prefer the scrounger though.

I usually use the 3/16 or the 1/4 long bill.

I love the scrounger, however, the last few times I've ordered them, the bill was softer and doesn't give good action to my fluke anymore.  I've contacted the company but they just sent me more soft bills. I'm going to try new plastics on it when the water here melts, but if they still don't work then i guess the "shaker" is my only hope!

Has anyone used the scrounger now that Luck-E-Strike makes it?  Wonder if they fixed the bill problem.  How about Berkley's version??
