Here's what I have on my calendar, regarding open tourneys on the south side of the lake...

Burkes: First Sunday of the month. Clewiston. Register at Roland Martin's

Slims: 2nd Sunday of the month. Belle Glade

Bass Busters (Silver): 3rd Saturday of the month. Clewiston

Bass Busters (Gold): 3rd Sunday of the month. Clewiston

Slims: last Saturday of the month. Belle Glade.

I have only fished a couple of these in the past several years, so if my info is not completely correct, I apologize. Carmen Patti has a monthly open tourney out of Clewiston also, but I'm not sure which day...

Wish i was on them, havent caught anything over 3.8 pounds since i picked up the new boat, but the last three weekends have been probably the worst 3 weekends to fish all year, 20plus winds and bright blue skys. Really just been trying to learn my way around all the trails on se side though.

Thanks for the info on the tournys.

Anyone fishing up there this weekend? I'll be there sat and sun if anyone sees a grey and blue phoenix say hi.

Think carmen goes outta slims right?

Didnt get to go today ended up working but heading to either slims or clewiston early am, any info on better general area would be greatly apprec.

Me and a buddy went out of Slims and tried to fish the west side of kreamer... some how the wind was dead call by my house but was howling south acrross the lake. the water was filthy and we kept moving trying to find better water but couldnt... im far from an expert on the lake, wish i could give you more but it was a pretty crappy trip... good luck

Friday We pre fished for the Christian Trail North Shore, 2 boats flipped about 90% of the time without a bite, I caught about 15 dinks on a swim jig out in the grass. Saturday the tourny we scrapped everything and went to JS with nothing, we caught dinks all day and weighed in 5 of them.. 20lbs won it but lots of zeros and small weights, that cold spell has them shut down.

We fished in, out, middle, I don't know where they are. Saw a few beds but not like I thought. I guess its a whole new ball game with this high water.

Man, now I don't feel so bad! I got my Butt kicked out on O Friday too!! I worked hard for a few bites and small fish!!!

I had a 18-19lbs bag on Friday in about four hours. Ive got one good spot that has some nice fish staged up. I was hoping to fish Burkes today...think I could have done some damage today with the short sacks coming in. but just too much on my plate right now.

I put a write up of my trip Friday on my blog...www.hawgtech.com/blog

Nice fish!

Can confirm tourny was sunday, drove all the way to clewiston to fish to find out boat didnt charge for a stupid reason i will keep to myself, so turned and drove all the way back home. It as the last one they will do this year and all the big lake guys were out, surman was there mcmillans so i woulod be interested to see what the weights were as I heard some of them talking in the bait shop saying they werent on anything special.

Anyone know where to find results?

I talked to Mikeyballzz yesterday...he fished Burke's on Sunday with Val (owner of Gambler). Apparently, 17lbs won it...13lbs cashed a check. Pretty amazing considering all the big sticks fishing...The lake is fishing tough.

I'm kicking myself, a little...Conditions Sunday were pretty similiar to what I had on Friday. If my fish haven't moved in that day and a half, I had 17lbs pretty much covered.

Just got off the phone with Steve Daniel...there's a big open tournament this weekend out of Scott Driver. Bob Hayes Memorial, I believe it is called. Supposed to be a really good payout...

I think they're getting a little better sacks up north. Anyone who's on anything up there should probably check that one out....

No problem.

BTW Carmen Patti has an open tourney Saturday out of Clewiston. I'm gonna fish that one with Jack (shallow thinker). Sounds like the lake is still fishing tough, but we're gonna give it a shot.

Only the second time fishing an open tourney in 2012 for me...I did one of the Slims deals back in June. I would really like to do more of these but man its hard to find the time.

I fished one of carmens tourneys last year. He had the sign in at the backlot back by the bathrooms.

We're not 100% sure of the details...winging it a little bit.
