Anyone else use the Tornado?

Featured Replies

I remember buying my first bunch of them when they were released from BPS, they came in a tin can! Just curious if anyone else uses them. They have been a great multi purpose bait for me and I have had great success with them. I like to fish buzzbaits, so this lure fills that, plus adds a spinnerbait, and a jig to it. You can get three different presentations with one cast if you want to. I was just curious. :)

you know i have not fished that spinner  in a few years  when i got to go to  falcon lake in zapata  tx. for 6 months at a time it was a great bait. i must have got rid of the ones i had .going to get a couple again try here on my home lakes in indiana  thanks for reminding me .  must have been before i bought any i dont remember in a tin can  when i used them it was about  year 1999

I was fortunate enough to have known Eugene "Shoestring" Dubois for many years before he passed away. I have 3 of his original Tornados that were made several years before Bass Pro Shop began selling them.

It's one of my favorite spinnerbaits and BenoBreath is right on -- they work great as a buzzbait.

Outstanding and overlooked bait. Totally different sound and vibration. Built like a brick sh*thouse too! Caught a 47" muskie by "accident" on a 3/8 oz. and it didn't bend a bit.
