Soft plastic worm thats better than live bait???

Featured Replies

I was talking with a guy at the lake the other day and he was telling me about a soft plastic worm that he had seen on the internet but didnt know the name of them. He was telling me it was advertised to be better than live bait because of its action and that B.A.S.S. was talking about banning it from their tournaments. Anybody know what this worm is???? If there is such Id like to try it.

This is an old ploy by bait companies to get you to buy their product. In my opinion, no soft plastic will ever be better than live bait..........as far as B.A.S.S banning the bait? I think they said that about the banjo minnow as well..... ;D

the worm your talking about is the one that is advertised in every fishing magazine.  it's just like the banjo minnow or the helicopter lure.....junk imo.  b.a.s.s. is not going to ban it.  the author of the article's in the paper is charlie allen and he writes unbelievable lies.

please please please dont fall for it and waste your money.

the worm is called the "walking worm"

the technology behind it is that there are pockets of air in the tail causing it to curl constantly.

imho, live worms do not catch more bass than fake.  go out with live worms one day.  then go out with a zoom trick worm.  see what happens

If it were only true. Don't waste your money.

Berkly Gulp makes that claim. Rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure there are others that make the same claim. It's all rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charlie Allen uses EXACTLY the same script for Kick-Tail and some golf club (the name escapers me).

Steer clear!

I wouldn't put the Banjo minnow and helicopter lure in the same category.  The Banjo minnow actually catches fish.  It's nothing more than a fluke with a special hook set-up.

And I must admit, whenever I see the walking worm commercial it always catches my attention and I could see it working.  Makes me wonder if GYCB came out with it what people would be saying?? :-?

If Gary Yamamoto is backing a product, it's worth a look. Charlie Allen has no credibility.

It kinda sounded like a load of crap when he was telling me about just wanted to get some opinions about it and find out what it was. If people said it worked I was gonna try it. But from the sound of what everybody here is saying my instincts were right its just another company claiming their bait is better than live bait.

Heh, yeah my dumb friend bought some of them  :). They didn't work for trash, and it just made me out-fishing him again for the 10345893th time a little bit sweeter ;D.
