Just picked up a new sustain 2500fg. Does anyone know where I can get a different knob for the handle? I prefer older paddle style over the T's and bone shaped.

 

This is my first Shimano and don't care for the knob at all. The reel is awesome thow! Can't wait till spring to give it a work out.

Im mot 100% cetain but i dont believe you can get paddle handles for the sustain/ci4. I think the only option is cylindrical cork like the foam shape.

Oh well that sucks.

 

I called Shimano and they said they would check for me then call me back. Haven't heard back yet. 

 

Guess worst case senario is get used to it. It is a sweet reel in any case.

 

May have to check into the cork one. Have rcs knobs on my fuego and tierra which I really like.
