First Baitcaster Rod And Reel

Featured Replies

If I was you I'd get a BPS Pro Qualifier, 6.4:1 gear ratio, and a BPS Carbonlite, 7' MH/F. There is a combo that you can get for 160 online. That will leave you about 40 bucks for line and some other bait and tackle.

Thats a link to the PQ baitcaster and carbonlite rod. That was my first setup and I couldnt be happier. Right now its my dedicated topwater rig but I've used it for just about everything.

Thanks for the link. Should I look for micro guides as well? Or are those for more advanced folks. lol

micro guides are more advanced, wouldnt hurt if you really wanted them, if you look in the sales flyer they have a NIce KVD quantum baitcast combo on special for $99 thats normally $189
