Anybody use Garmin electronics on their boat? How do they compare to Lowrance and Humminbird?

I have a 8 year old Garmin GPS/sounder on my boat along with 2 Lowrance HDS units. I use the Garmin as my GPS because i like it better than the GPS in the Lowrance units.

Garmins have a history of excellet GPS equipment.

They have sort of been left behind in the sonar technology though.

If you are looking for a quality, solid unit for a good price, Garmin is your brand. If side/down imaging and linking multiple units, wifi and the like is important to you, you may have to look to the big 2 and bring your checkbook. I've got Garmin units on both my kayaks and am happy with both
