Hello…I’ve been on the forum for a couple weeks but just now posting an intro.  So far, I’ve had a great time and learned a lot browsing the forums, watching the videos, and reading the articles.

 

I’m in the Army and recently moved from Hawaii to Evans, GA (near Augusta).  In Hawaii, I lived on a beautiful bay with some great flats right in my back yard with plenty of bonefish (oio), barracuda (kaku), and jack (papio or ulua).  Leaving that was hard, but I’m from Savannah so it’s nice to be back in the South and close to home.

 

Anyway, I’m kinda a beginner in terms of bass fishing.  I’ve been spending a LOT of time walking the banks of Clarks Hill Lake, the Savannah River, and several small ponds/lakes in the area trying to pay my dues and learn as much as I can about bass fishing.

 

If you’ve got tips for a beginner fishing strictly from the bank, or good spots in the Augusta area, please let me know.

Welcome to Bass Resource. It's pretty cool having another guy here from Evans. I was also stationed in Hawaii before PCSing to Ft. Gordon. Then I ETSed in 2002 and stayed here. I love this place. I'm from Covington so I know how nice it is to have family close when your in the service. The back of Ft Gordon has about 20 great lakes. I used to love to fish them every chance I got. 

 

If you ever want to see the banks of Clarks Hill from the opposite angle just hit me up and we'll try to put something together.
