Hello everyone, today I just visited my vacation home and found a nice stash of crankbaits that haven't been used for 4 or 5 months(some have never been used). The hooks seem pretty sharp in my opinion, however, is there a way to test if a hook is sharp enough?

Run them over one of your fingernails.

Deep is right. A sharp hook will stick; a dull one will not.

If you run them over your fingernail and there is any sort of resistance they are sharp.

If you can get them to stick to your thumbnail without any assistance they are sharp.
