As I suspected it looks like they may be about 6" including the bill unless this guy has huge hands

    It will be a 7 foot mh/h/mhm st croix for our trip. I will figure out the best rod once I get them for home waters fishing. With a 7 foot max rod tube, I will be taking all mh or h rods.

    OK - There's only a slim chance that I'll have soft water before we go so I doubt I'll get that luxury -

     

    I'm going to order a couple any way - is this the same rod you'd be heaving an A-rig on ?

    That is going to be a pain to crank on a rod that short. Good luck lol

    It will be, but for only 5 days of fishing.  Traveling with rods limits us to 7 ft rods.  At home will be a much different story!

    I got one of mine that I had ordered, very big but I can't wait to use it in 30 ft of water! Its easily twice the size of a 6xd! The rattle in it sounds a bit much just shaking it in my hand.
