Real Confidence, As Taught By Kvd And Ehrler...

Featured Replies

I watched every episode of Major Leauge Fishing this weekend, and I must say, it's really worth the spend. I learned a TON of info on how to fish clear water ad dirty water.

Anyway, durin the 2012 Challenge Cup, KVD and Brent Ehrler put a hurtin' on the bass. They were both fishing the deep, clear waters of Lake Amistad, and were tossing Jerkbaits, working them back to the boat very fast.

However, the camera zoomed in on a few of their catches long enough for me to notice that they were BOTH using ing the same Jerkbait: a Megabass Vision 110.

Even KVD, who designed a Jerkbait for Strike king, was using a Megabass. Ehrler is sponsored by Lucky Craft. But in the heat if the moment, when the pressure was on, neither one of these accomplished fishermen felt that their sponsors made a jerkbait that would help them win.

I'm just commenting how interesting it is that guys will promote a brand, and their baits, I'm sure. But when the hey is on, they turn to what they think will win them the day. And I'm (sorta) surprised that thu both turned to the same bait.

BTW, Mike Mclellend finished third, and he caught his fish on his mcStick. That's confidence!

Its the same way in all outdoor sports. Its like the rage broadhead, they have a MASSIVE amount of pro staff. Off camera many are not shooting that head.

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say Ehrler 9 out of 10 times is likely fishing an LC. Nothing beats free and their lineup surely can satisfy most days on the water.
