Xps 8 Advanced Braid

Featured Replies

Has anyone used the new BPS 8 Advanced braid? If so, how did it perform? Would you recommend it? Is it a good alternative to Suffix 832? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Also interested in opinions. Eyed the stuff (along with PP Slick) when I last bought my regular Power Pro, didn't want to pull the trigger.

I provide no input for this subject on their braid. I saw this in the new catalog and was intrigued, but I recently switched to 832 and I'm in love so far. I'm a little hesitant to buy BPS line after I tried their mono.  I've heard their Fluoro is amazing.  I've never tried it though. Again... I guess there's no good feedback here... sorry.

I can't specifically address the line in question, only to say why be hesitant.  I posted a pic today of a fish I caught using Zebco braid, bought it on a lark.  It has a larger diameter than other brands, ties a great knot and strength was of no concern, and it casted as far as a thinner line of the same # test.  This line did exactly what I expect a braided line to do, my point is I give anything a chance, the worse thing is I don't like it. Now I'm waiting to see what this Tuf line will do.

I bought some and spooled it on a frog rod. Water is hard here so I've not put it to any use yet. But just from casting in the yard, it is quiet and smooth. Casts very well. Until I get to fish it, thats all I have to say.

No experience here either but PP Super slick is good stuff.....just reloaded on spools at the 20% off BPS sale :)
