Nova Guy Checking In

Featured Replies

I joined a while back and have been reading and learning a lot here. I'm hoping to step up my fishing this year by learning new techniques and using better gear. I fish out a kayak on the Occoquan reservoir usually out of Bull Run Marina and parts of the Potomac and anywhere else I can through a line here in NoVa. I met Hanover Yakker at the fishing expo in Doswell and he was very helpful. I would like to thank everyone here for great information, I have yet to post a question here because when I do a search I always find what i'm looking for.

Wonderful having you with us.

Remember that when the Dogwoods blossom the bass are on their beds.

The first full moon after the Dogwoods bloom is a great time to hit the water.

Be sure to ask your questions and post your pics.

Stay warm and safe today as the storm is wrecking havoc on the highways.

Sam, thanks and I will.

Darren, Thanks and Virginian yes, kayaker not so much it is a big change from fishing from a boat. I bought the kayak for my self when my wife wanted one two Christmases ago. I wish I had done some research first and got a sit on top but I think I did get a deal for the two kayaks I paid around $500 at a dsg clearance sale for a Future Beach Trophy 144 and a FB 124    pDSP1-7167617p275w.jpg876235437_260.jpg
