Looking For A $370 Squarebill/shallow Crankrod For Half Price?

Featured Replies

I ordered the XC610MXF. Not one of the crank rods on there but one heck of a deal.

And TBH I think the old style Xtreme handles look way nicer then the full foam black ones they got on the new Xtremes

I think the new ones look ok but I think they feel kinda different. It might take some getting used to but I bet I'd like the new ones too if I had the chance to use one for a while. I do prefer the older style a bit better though (especially looks-wise). They are a little bit lighter too. I haven't got mine in the mail yet but I'm looking forward to trying it.

How much was shipping, if I may ask?

How much was shipping for you guys? Seems like a great rod for small plastics. I am trying hard not to buy one, lol.

It's generally 20$ from st. croix. That's the rate for upgrading/trading in at least. I don't recall the bargain room price but I imagine it's the same.

I appreciate it. I have never had a rod that nice (aka expensive) and I am a bit worried about spending that much on one. I have multiple 100+ dollar rods, and recently picked up a Dobyns Champion 703 spinning rod and was loaned a St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass 6'9 ML/XF to try.

I haven't really played with the Dobyns yet (will Tuesday and Wednesday) but I was absolutely dumbfounded with the sensitivity of the LTB. Blew my other rods clear out of the water with 8lb Yo-Zuri. Nothing I own comes near it's sensitivity. I can only imagine that the Xtreme can be nothing but better. Would it make a nice bottom contact rod for light t-rigs, split shot, etc?

Shipping for me was $13. I also have a Dobyns champion which I like so we'll have to see how they compare. I figure this rod will be a good weightless or lighter plastics rod and I'm going to try some small jigs with it too. It would probably do ok with some smaller topwaters also. It seems like it should be fairly versatile.
